Join us for this beginners course on how to plan, research, record and share your genealogical discoveries. The course will include practical examples of family history research, information about how to access records and tips to avoid common pitfalls. All participants will receive a range of handouts to support the course material. At the end of the session, the library will remain open for participants to use its resources.

The presenters are members of Genealogy SA with many years' experience in family history.
- Alison Hicks volunteers at Genealogy SA as a family history presenter and has a focus on the photographic collection, the history of schools and external digitising of records. She also volunteers at Pioneers SA as librarian and a transcriber.
- Paula Ritchie has been working on her family history for many years, particularly her Irish and Scottish families. She is a presenter and volunteer with Genealogy SA and convenes the Irish Special Interest Group.
- Julie Russell is relatively new; she has only been working on her tree for 15 years! At Genealogy SA she volunteers on the Photographic team, presents lectures and workshops, and helps edit The Genealogist.
