England Group(Special Interest Group)
Ancestry – 1921 Census for England and Wales and Pro Tools
When: 7.30pm
Where: In the Genealogy SA Library or
Online via Zoom
The England Group meets regularly to share ideas, knowledge and skills related to English family history research. Their area of geographical interest covers all counties of England.
This meeting will be hybrid – members can attend online via Zoom or in the Genealogy SA Library.
The subject matter will be the 1921 Census for England and Wales. Ancestry launched this data base on the 8th January. Previously this was only available on Findmypast.
Ancestry has also launched a new service called Pro Tools which is available at a cost of AUD $14.99. In addition to demonstrating what Pro Tools provides we will discuss what information is available for the family historian in the 1921 Census. This will be the last England and Wales Census release until 2052 when the 1951 Census will be released. The 1931 Census was destroyed by a fire and the 1941 Census was not taken because of WW2.
